Leet, or 1337, L337, l33t or Leetspeak, is a term which was used for the most part, on the internet, or on Internet Multiplayer Gaming. Leet is based off the english word Elite. A combination of different uses of the characters ASCII, in order to replace letters. Due to the widespread usage of the internet, Leetspeak has become a part of popular culture and slang.
