Leet, or 1337, L337, l33t or Leetspeak, is a term which was used for the most part, on the internet, or on Internet Multiplayer Gaming. Leet is based off the english word Elite. The common forms of Leet uses different combinations of ASCII characters, sometimes using numbers to replace letters. Due to the widespread usage of the internet, Leetspeak has become a part of popular culture and slang.
