McKenzie Wark is a Professor at the New School for Social Research and Eugene Lang College in New York City. He teaches media & cultural studies. He is also the author of several books germane to new media, including A Hacker Manifesto, Celebrities, Culture and Cyberspace, and The Virtual Republic. He is also a collaborator with the Institute for the Future of the Book on a project known as GAM3R 7H30RY (Gamer Theory), a "networked book" exploring "new approaches to writing in the networked environment, and to see what happens when authors and readers are brought into conversation over an evolving text."[1]
